11th to 13th May 2018 – Writing the Landscape – Keele University – Staffordshire

Whether you write fiction or non-fiction, landscape is everywhere. But are you capturing its essence? Fiction writers need a setting for their characters. Memoir and biography writers need to recount how the landscape affected their subject’s lives. Nature writers need to show the world around us, while travel writers hope to sell a foreign landscape to their readers. Whatever you write, there is no escaping the landscape.
